CAE publishes its annual activity and corporate social responsibility report for fiscal year 21

MONTREAL, July 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – CAE issued its Annual activity and corporate social responsibility (CSR) report FY21, a single source of information in key areas demonstrating how our solutions and activities generate benefits in the three central dimensions of sustainability: economic, environmental and social.

In fiscal 2021, CAE strengthened its social impact and took leadership in the fight against COVID-19, including designing and delivering the life-saving CAE Air1 ventilator and introducing the CAE mobile app. Injection. CAE has also been instrumental in spearheading the Industry for Vaccination coalition to garner support from businesses across Canada accelerate mass vaccination through the private sector, in turn, revive the economy as soon as possible. The report also includes information on CAE’s journey to become carbon neutral by September 2020, the evolution of CAE’s sourcing practices to ensure responsible sourcing by integrating labor, environmental and anti-corruption considerations as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives into its tools and processes global strategic sourcing. This year’s report has been improved to achieve greater transparency in CAE’s disclosure:

  • Beginning in fiscal 21, CAE reports on two industry categories identified by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB): aerospace and defense, and professional and business services.
  • CAE fulfilled its Phase 1 commitment for FY21 of its five selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by articulating the relationships of the five selected SDGs with CAE’s value chain, linking these five goals to the CAE’s mission, vision and ESG priorities and showing the correspondence between material topics and these SDGs.
  • CAE reported on progress in its 2020-2023 CSR Roadmap for Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) and laid the groundwork for GSS’s transformation by implementing three key pillars: digitization (process), business management group (risk) and supply chain operational excellence (growth).
