New opportunities in tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing are expected to be created in the North Division, as a World Bank team will soon be in country to listen and work with communities.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said Attorney General and Minister of Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum recently met with a team from the World Bank to develop an ambitious and well-resourced plan to make Vanua Levu a study of case for sustainable development.
Bainimarama says their plan includes a new airport that expands access to the North.
The Prime Minister says they continue to build the northern economy and his government clearly sees their role as an enabler of growth and a builder of confidence to unlock more potential.
